MUARA, Friday, 18th February 2022 – A total of 26 children of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel were presented excellence awards in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces' (RBAF) 60th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary Celebrations, which took place at Dewan Nakhoda, Naval Training Center.
The awards were given to students who have obtained excellent results in examination such as
Peperiksaan Sekolah Rendah (PSR),
Sijil-sijil Sekolah Rendah Ugama (SSSRU) and
Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Ugama Brunei (STPUB).
The ceremony was attended by the guest of honour, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @Seruji, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, who then presented the awards to the students. Also present to witness the ceremony were senior officers, parents and guardians.
The awards presented were funded by the RBAF Welfare Fund, and sponsors Takaful Sendirian Berhad, Koperasi Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (KOWIRA), S. Naaz Sendirian Berhad, The Cucur Tearoom, DCON Sendirian Berhad and Isfahani Sendirian Berhad.
This ceremony represents part of the community relations activities held every year as a sign of appreciation to children of RBAF personnel, who have obtained outstanding academic achievements. It also aims to encourage the students to continue to strive for excellence in the future.
